The extensive offerings at the Rochester Athletic Club will improve your game, no matter your sport. If you can play it, we have the facilities! Below is a list of additional offerings that are available and included (except for pickleball) with your membership.
Racquetball
Enjoy playing on one of our two beautiful glass-backed courts! Members can reserve a court up to a week in advance. Additionally racquets and balls for playing are available for no charge at the Activities Desk. Stop by or call the Activities Desk at (507) 287-9300 to reserve a court.
Beginners can learn more about the basics of the game in a free 30-minute Introduction to Racquetball session with one of our Racquetball Professionals. A pro also facilitates our free weekly racquetball drop in mixers which allow you meet and play games with other members. Players looking to improve their game can take advantage of Racquetball Private Lessons with one of our pros.

Competition-level racquets can be rented at Thrive Boutique and Sport Shop for $2. Thrive also has racquets, racquetball accessories, and racquet stringing services available for purchase.
Squash
Not familiar with the rules of Squash? Receive a free 30 minute Introduction to Squash session to learn all the basics you need to play. The Rochester Athletic Club offers league play, weekly Squash mixer nights, and private lessons to get you plugged in with other members who enjoy Squash. Badminton
Adult Badminton is played in the club each week at scheduled times in Gym 3. Nets are available to be set up at other times if gym usage allows. There is no charge for playing badminton. Badminton Private Lessons are available.

Pickleball
Indoor Pickleball: We have 4 indoor pickleball courts. A court can be reserved for $10/hour through the Activities Desk. Stop by or call the Activities Desk at (507) 287-9300 to reserve, or use your Empower M.E. Member Login.
Outdoor Pickleball: We have recently opened 8 brand new outdoor pickleball courts in August of 2024! Outdoor pickleball courts must be reserved but are included with your membership and do not require an additional fee. Stop by or call the Activities Desk at (507) 287-9300 to reserve, or use your Empower M.E. Member Login.
Pickleball paddles can be checked out at the Activities Desk or rented at Thrive Boutique and Sport Shop for $2.

Outdoor Sand Volleyball
We have two Outdoor Sand Volleyball Courts located by the Outdoor Pool available during the summer months. Volleyballs are available through the Outdoor Desk or Activities Desk.
Wallyball
Wallyball may be set up for play in Racquetball Court #4. Make a reservation through the Activities Desk by calling (507) 287-9300.
Indoor Soccer
The Neighborhood Gym is reserved for Adult
Pick-up Soccer on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00- 1:00 pm.
Youth Soccer Classes and Private Lessons are also available. For more information, look under the Kids Sports and Fitness Section in the Schedule of Activities.
Golf Cages
We have two golf cages for practicing your golf swing throughout the year.
Baseball/Softball
Located in the back of the Neighborhood is a great practice area for baseball and softball. With three batting cages and a throwing lane, you will have a safe space to practice your technique. We also offer Group Lessons for Youth throughout the year.
Hockey Area with Goal
In the back of the Neighborhood there is a synthetic ice shooting area with hockey goal. Just wear tennis shoes as no skates are allowed. Pucks are provided for shooting.
Lacrosse
There is a lacrosse-sized goal in the hockey area at the back of the Neighborhood to practice technique and refine your skills. Due to the hardness of the ball, the only areas within the Club available for Lacrosse passing practice are the hockey area and baseball/softball throwing lanes.
